So I bought a Surfybear Classic V2 several months ago and continue to struggle to get a usable watery drip. I bought this new and my Mesa Fillmore 50 did not play nicely in the sandbox with it and thought maybe that the Mesa was the issue. So, I put the Surfybear away for a bit.
I have all types of guitars but I've tried to dial in the drip with a Strat, Jazzmaster, and Jaguar. The Jaguar is the closest.
I just got rid of the Mesa and am back to using a 6G6B Bassman and I still can't get the watery drip I was expecting. I should be clear- it can drip but it either gets very faint and underneath everything and more clangy clacky and the ambient noise and ice picking highs are making my ears bleed at the 7,7,7 settings or about that area of settings. If I back off the knobs the drip turns to clicks and it's very clicky and not watery.
So, I've had about 10 6G15 type tanks in my life and several blonde Bassmans/clones for a long time and know what ingredients I'm after and worked in the past as far as how to get the drip. The only thing I really haven't considered is swapping out the pans in the Surfybear itself.
Has anyone else experienced this and/or done a pan swap to the Surfybear Classic V2? Is the pan a drop in and replace or am I soldering? Any brands stick out as a replacement like MOD for example? I
For the record, if I dial it all down it sounds great but I want watery drip and trying to figure out what I'm missing from the equation. Hoping someone has some ideas, anyone?

I just started a thread about modern reverb pans here https://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/33727/
I have a SB kit so equivalent to the Classic but I've never had a 6G15.
So far I've tried the Accutronics 4AB3C1B which I think comes with the Classic - nice sound if a bit icepicky but the decay is too long for me. To fix that I got a MOD 4AB1C1B - short decay - and it's a less icepicky, more bubbly drip but the decay is even longer than the Accutronics long decay.
For now I've just put a small strip of foam at the bottom of the Accutronics pan and I have less decay but still have the drip so I'm reasonably happy.

Thanks for the response. Doo you know if the MOD pan is the same size dimensions as the Accutronica? In other words - I'm wondering if it will fit in the Classic V2 enclosure without issue. Also,is it a drop in and replace or do I have to solder anything? Thanks

These are all questions that we can help you with if you contact us. I remember talking to you earlier this year...
