Hey y’all I’m an up and coming boutique amp builder. This is my first creation. I think it fits in here. https://youtu.be/LmWtOnyVXMs

what made you choose blackface amp circuits over the early 60s stuff? the tremolo is opto?

The trem is power tube bias vari and I picked AB763 because purely it’s my favorite and I think 63’ counts as early 60s. I Built a few browns before this and ultimately still wanted the cleaner scooped AB763 Preamp as a basis of topology. But incorporate the original 6g15 tube reverb unit and 6g16 bias vari trem. Also the mid cap switch adds some flexibility and some value tweaks here and there for stability and preference.

Very cool amp. It sounds great, too. Pretty crafty!

Woweeee! Awesome. I really like how the tremolo is placed after the reverb. I love the variable impedance also, I wish every amp in the world had that. Beautiful reverb and harmonic tremolo, those sound really really nice. This is actually very close to an amp that I would love to be able to build for myself, in the distant (read: never) future, except I would do a 6G14. I ditched my AB763 amps for 6g14 and 6g14A amps once I had enough $ to get em. I agree that it is a curious choice to market an amp for surf and not have a brown face circuit! But man, beautiful beautiful work. Amazing really. I also like your design. It’s pretty rare to see an amp that makes me want to play with the knobs! It reminds me of my dad‘s 70s Akai stereo which is a whirlwind of nostalgia...

It looks and sounds great!

Nice. I'll take a listen once I can get to some headphones. I personally don't prefer the scoop of blackface fenders, but lots of people do. would like to play with the mid voicing switches. I used ampeg v amps with a lovely mid boost for surf for years. I'm glad to see my least favorite things about blackface are replaced (reverb and tremolo).

I took a listen yesterday and really liked it, sounds great! I'm impressed by the inventiveness of combining all this into one unit.

If (okay, when) I look for another amp and reverb unit this one will be on my list.

I Love the idea of an onboard 3 spring reverb! My TK Meteor II has that feature and I love it. No extra gear to haul.

That is a great sounding amp!
I hope you've sold some since starting this thread.

Deal with reality, or reality will deal with you.
