Just saw the new fender releases for 2021...
and noticed they are reissuing a version of the vibro champ this year.

A few practical features that they changed:
- 10" Celestion speaker TEN 30 (originally had 8"
- Built in reverb
- Speaker line out (easier to connect external cabinet?)
Cost about as much as a vintage vibro champ at $750. Currently available for Pre-Order, does anyone know when it will be released or shipped?

I’m curious about this as well. One thing that surprised me for this series is that this has digital reverb, not the nice deep spring reverb that the other amps in this series have. I think it’s a little pricy so hopefully it’s really good.

I hadn't caught that the reverb was digital.
Too bad it is not a stripped down clean sounding tube amp like the champ.
Most players have their preferred pedal settings than needing on board effects. Still a cool release for 2021, but agree very pricy for the small amp.

I have the 68 custom Princeton reverb and I absolutely love it, well worth it’s sub $1000 price! The price of this is very close and I feel like the features and performance may not be... It would be cool for sure if they just left the reverb off. For something small like this I’d probably opt for a Pro Junior, even though it’s a different style of fender amp.

And the reverb is not even a classic Spring reverb but a digital Hall reverb 
Hopefully it will be less noisy than the other amps of the Custom 68 range.

I guess the digital 'verb takes up less room than a pan. Never know, the digital 'verb may sound better than a non-tube driven 'verb with a shorty pan. Sounded pretty good in the demo. If you want to get splashy, surfy, drippy 'verb probably gonna need a Surfy Bear, True Spring, or something of that nature anyway. Vibrato actually sounded pretty awesome.

The Vox AC10 I use for recording has built-in digital reverb and it sounds great, good enough that I don't bother dragging out the Fender reverb tank.
Since the old Champs never had onboard reverb, it would be worth trying one of the new '68 Vibro Champs to hear how they sound. The 10" speaker would seem to be a big plus, too.
But yes, it is pricey. A Princeton Reverb didn't cost much more a year or two ago. Fender is well known for noticeable price increases on an almost annual basis.

Tested it yesterday. Not surfy at all but I think would be good for jazz or something. Pan reverb is shitty, tube tremolo is ok)
