Permalink Amplitube 5 - digital reverb that actually drips real good

New Topic

Hey guys,

I just bought a iRig Pro Duo I/O interface which came with Amplitube 5 software. Played around with American Tube Clean 1 - amp (which is supposed to be a Fender Super Reverb) and was really blown away how good the reverb itself sounded and that the drip is really really good! I even didn't plan to use the software as I always use amps and pedals for recording/songwriting, but this sounds amazing. And that is not even the 63 reverb tank which you also can buy in the software. I think i might give it a shot!

I think I have that same amp sim in my Fender collection. Isn't that the amp that has the '63 tank built into it? Never the less, it is a fantastic sounding reverb.

Can you post a link to the 63 Tank? Couldn’t find it on their site.

I couldn't find it, either.

The ‘63 Reverb is included in the Fender collection. Otherwise you can find it in the Amplitube Custom Shop. It is pretty good. The Super Reverb included in the Fender Collection 2 (and also in the Custom Shop) is also very good.

The 63 Reverb seems to be like an in app purchase, It is like a pedal. I also tried Amplitube 4 but wasn't as satisfied with Amplitube 5. Maybe they improved the simulation.

Turns out I already have it on my iPad (I have the AmpliTube for ios). Original purchased the Fender collection for a couple of fly in gigs (non surf), and used the ipad as my amp (worked well). Gonna have to play with the Reverb pedal.

I also have it on the iPad, but it doesn't nearly sound as good as on Amplitube 5 on PC. I believe the iPad version is quite old / using old DSP. @SixStringSurfer: It is actually a one knob reverb on that amp (American Tube Clean 1), so it seems to be a different model.

I’m going to have to do a whole computer upgrade to enjoy that. My 2008 Mac Pro is still grinding out tracks matched with ProTools 10. So some of these delicious upgrades won’t run on it. Hmm I’ve got a banging Windows 10 machine dedicated for video editing that might be a good place to cut specialty tracks with plugs that don’t play nice with the old Mac. That’s a possible workaround. I’m an “in the box” kind of guy and haven’t yet found the drip in a plug-in. This is good news.
