Miami Blue! Loving it so far, except I definitely need to swap out the stock strings for my tried & true D'Addario EXL115-10P XL 11-49 strings. The pickups are fine, if a bit bright for me when tone is wide open. I simply dial the tone on my guitar back to about half way and I'm in my happy place. I'm enjoying the spankitude with the maple neck.
The Miami Blue is a fantastic tropical turquoise-ish color. I use different Fender straps and neither of the blue straps (blue/black and blue/white) didn't really work. The green/white strap works for me.
I like the Mystic Surf finish but have that covered with my Fender Parallel Universe Jazz Strat. I really like the Dark Night finish as well, but I'm holding out hope for when Fender puts out a guitar with that finish with a matching headstock.

Happy NGD. How do you like the new tremolo? In your opinion are the pickups keepers or would this guitar benefit from a change? Or too early to tell?

Thanks, guys!
The tremolo works great. It still knocked the stock strings out of tune with gentle to moderate use. I replaced the strings with 11s so things are far more stable with the tremolo now. Also new (to me at least) is a modern string tree that's very cool.
Having a JM with Fender Pure Vintage '65 Jazzmaster pickups (which are very healthy with midrange), the AmPro II JM's V-Mod II single-coil Jazzmaster pickups are very bright. I don't think anyone in a band needs to worry about these pickups not cutting through the band mix.
Like I mentioned in my opening post, the pickups can be tamed with the JM's tone control. For now, I'd like to try keep everything stock on this one (I mod way too many guitars, heh).
However, if I were to swap out the pickups, I might try some Lindy Fralin hum-cancelling Jazzmaster pickups because I have several guitars with his hum-cancelling pickups (Telecaster, Mustang, Gretsch dogear P90s, and soon to arrive is a loaded Strat pickguard). To me, they retain the pickup's tone without the hum as compared to other hum-cancelling pickups. Also, Lindy is a super friendly guy who provides top notch service, ensuring I'm ordering the right components and elements for my needs.

Yeah I had a set of Fralin Blues Specials in a Telecaster and they were the best Tele pickups I ever had. I'll have to consider his JM pickups should I ever look for a change. I really like the Pure Vintage '65 set.
Still looking for a AmPro II to show up in a store here.
