Online surf band anyone?
Due to COVID pretty much killing live music and also my area pretty much having 0 interest in surf music at all (Oklahoma) I decided to make an online surf band thru social media and YouTube
Problem is it’s flipping hot in my studio here in Oklahoma
95-98 average temp
I have a small ac cooler but that can only do so much
So recording has to be done in spirts
I play guitar so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping with this project
Would need
Bass
Drums
Keys
Sax
Guitar 2-3 etc.
Anything else

Can you provide more details about what you have in mind for this project?

I’ll vouch for ldk. He has played bass for a couple of The Driptones songs, and he does a phenomenal job. We would absolutely use him again if he is ever interested.

I'd be interested in this.
Primarily a guitarist, but can also do bass/keys.
I've got good recording gear as well. Pro Tools & Studio One.

ok you is on then lol. im writing out a rooad map and a semi setlist then ill start sending out the scratch tracks to record to

Started a classic tock and country band ugh

It was the same in Ukraine 20 years ago. For some 5 years I was playing surf at home and looking for similar minded people. In 2007 I’ve started surf band. In 2010 there were 3 bands. In 2021 there were 7 bands, regular surf shows in different cities and local surf fest in Kyiv) So never give up!
