I love that Albert King guitar! I was fortunate enough to see him live in the 90s before he died. Brilliant player.

I just changed out the pick ups on my newly acquired Fender Player Jazzmaster to Seymour Duncan Vintage. I love the sound.
I also changed my Vintera Jaguar pups to Fender Pure Vintage. I also installed a .5 and .25 degree shims to raise the bridge. I did precision setups on both guitars. They play and sound great!

I've got two parts builds going at the moment:

Mustang

Components I have so far:
- Mustang Style Ash Body in Halcyon Blue (finish done by prior owner using General Finishes Water Based Milk Paint Halcyon Blue and then covered with General Finishes High Performance Water Based Flat Topcoat)
- 2020 Fender Player Mustang Maple Neck
- Fender Mustang (MIM) Pickups - These pickups are possibly temporary, as I'll likely get some Fralin Split Blades for Mustang pickups down the road.
- Genuine Fender Mustang Vibrato Tremolo Assembly
- Mastery M1 Bridge
- Decoboom Atomic Rings Neck Plate
- Fender Chrome Strap Buttons
- Fender Mustang Tremolo Bar
- Fender Brownface Cupcake Knobs
- Genuine Fender CHROME Guitar Pickguard Mounting Screws

Components waiting to be delivered:
- Fender Mustang Aged White Pearloid Pickguard...Delivery delayed Sigh Argh Cry

Guitar is all wired up properly (I continue to improve my soldering skills, huzzah!) and I should have it all put together by Friday or Saturday at the latest.

Telecaster

Body changed to a black Fender Telecaster. Re: the old body - mistakes were made, pre-drilled holes were not suitable for a Fender neck. I'm taking the old body to my guitar tech to see if it can be salvaged.

Parts Build Updates:

Mustang is finished:

As you can see from the last photo, I goofed on the pre-drill holes for the tremolo system. Like the Dwarves in The Hobbit, I WENT TOO DEEP!! Filler, correct paint and flat clear coat was used (not so well) to try and fix it. It's good enough for me at this point.

Re: Tele build, I'm going to save the StewMac wiring kit for another project and decided to go with a Gunstreet U.S Spec Tele - Volume Bleed - 3 Way - CTS - Wiring Harness. Supposed to arrive today.

The Mustang looks nice - kind of an early Duo Sonic vibe to it.

Thanks!

Black Tele build is complete for now...I put on my spare Tele maple Modern C neck for now. Hope to get the chunky U all rosewood neck later this week or early next.

Loving the Armadillo Brass components, the Fralin Split-Blade pickups, and the Glendale Brass Telecasater Saddles. The Gunstreet wiring kit worked like a charm.

Hi Surfysonic, Great job! I love the look of the Mustang and the Tele. My personal taste runs toward the Mustang. That blue and white color scheme is fantastic and the "atomic" neck plate is killer. The Tele looks fantastic, too. That black finish looks like a mirror.

Thanks, Tim! The Milk Paint Halcyon Blue finish is very nice - gives the Mustang a beachy vibe.

Yes, the black Tele is so very mirror-like - just like a mirror, it captures fingerprints easily. I keep a handcloth near it to wipe it down after every time I touch it. Big Grin

I put this together recently, but haven’t had a chance to bring it out to a gig yet

I am in the process of adding a Bigsby B5 Vibrato to my Paul Reed Smith Baritone. The biggest challenge is moving the pickup selector switch that is in the way.

5f1 champ became 5f2 princeton. added a tone control in the only handy place. could have sacrificed an input, but both inputs get used (such a tight chassis) added a negative feedback switch after V1, and did some voicing to this tiny tweed champ. I need to update my DIY thread..

I really needed a Tremolo Arm on my PRS Baritone, so I installed a Bigsby. I had to move the pickup selector switch. It is really close to the trem, but that couldn't be helped. The Gibson pickup selector switch ring was installed to cover the hole where it used to be.
