Is the Drip switch/Surfy drip the same function as the Compact Reverb mix-1, mix-2? When will the Surfy Drip be available? Thanks!

The Compact is hard to crash. The two mix options are great, they will be useful in an on-stage setting. It's a perfect size. Last edited: Feb 08, 2020 09:20:41 |

The compact crashes like the others but it HAS to have a signal going on. Touch the strings or have a note going. The way the decay control works, as a sort of gate, makes the unit sensitive to the wet signal only. —Lorenzo "Surfer Joe" Valdambrini |

I detected a bit of that, as I don't generally crash it by itself. |

If I promise to not crash it, can I keep my lifetime warranty intact? |

It is a very good thing indeed that a unit sitting on the floor and stomped on as a pedal IS stable enough to resist crashing! To me, that is a mark of a great design and actually makes me consider buying one! Unintentional spitting and cracking sounding from a reverb unit on a bouncy wooden stage throughout a set is annoying as heck. —Lorne Last edited: Feb 08, 2020 14:13:48 |

I never had problems with crashing tanks. Either fender units or SurfyBear or whatever. Obviously I don’t put it in front of the drums. —Lorenzo "Surfer Joe" Valdambrini |

I have played on some very small stages (surf isn't so big here) and have experienced exactly what is heard when the BBs are playing 'Fun Fun Fun', the first performed song in this video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5a4YupnT1sM Lest this be seen as an off-topic post...in fact, this is praise for the Surfy Reverb compact unit! —Lorne Last edited: Feb 08, 2020 14:29:15 |

I got that man of course, but I have not found bouncing wooden stages in years too. Even in small places. But I also know that crashing the tank is a fundamental feature for many people. I have even seen someone bringing 2 tanks, one for playing and one for crashing only —Lorenzo "Surfer Joe" Valdambrini |

It will give you a bit fuller sound at lower volumes, but the sound of the Super Reverb is already pretty dark and aggressive, I am worried that it will be too much. But cannot tell without trying it. Is it a blackface or silverface? —Lorenzo "Surfer Joe" Valdambrini |

Sorry for the late answer. It's actually a clone of a 1964 Blackface Super Reverb with a switch that changes a resistor and fattens up the tone and should sound more like a Vibroverb. —In the beginning was reverb https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj--qQ5WXp7SWDWcJJOjoow?sub_confirmation=1 |
