Scenario:
You're stranded on a desert island. Your phone and all technology are gone. Your guitar/instrument did not survive the crash, but the shipwreck left you enough food and basic necessities to survive for about 3 years. (You will actually be retrieved by Air-Sea Rescue in 28 months) While exploring the island you find a small hut that will serve as shelter and sleeping quarters. In the corner of the hut is a classic ipod with a Sony Speaker dock that runs on solar power-so music will not be a problem. The Ipod has all types of music, rock, country, 70's, jazz, but only 5 surf songs!!!
Rules:
1) Pick only 5 surf songs that you must have. Only 5!!! They do not have to be the greatest surf songs of all time. They don't have to be in order of importance, just the 5 you would have to have!
2) Don't comment on the validity of anyone's choice - live aloha.
3) Air-Sea Rescue will or will not (your choice) include one celebrity of your choice, alive or dead, again there is no wrong answer!
Okay, this is the shallow end, so I think this is allowed. If someone has done this before, sorry and direct me to that post!
My picks:
1) Tsunami Tsurprise - Space Cossacks
2) Married to a Mermaid - Diamondheads
3) Pipeline - The Chantays
4) The Endless Summer - Sandals
5) and this was the toughest one... Miserlou - Dick Dale
Celebrity - Tina Cole (In her Katie Miller days on My Three Sons)

Can I choose exotica tunes? If I'm on a desert island, I might as well create the right ambience
Already a plethora of exotica's included on the classic Ipod you found, but no surf. (But if Exotica is surf to you, then sure why not)
OK, If I've already got exotica then I'll pick these tunes:
Sunset cruise - The Torquays
To be naked and french is always hard - The Mermen
Arcadian Voyage - The Madeira
Goofing around you - Los Kahunas
Padre Pizzicato - Messer Chups

I’ll play!
(Captain Obvious: MAN this is hard!)
Finding 5 songs that will treat you right, all while knowing there is a really good chance you will never, ever want to hear them again once you are rescued.
I love many first wave surf bands. Unfortunately, most of my 5 would be more recent...
Oswald D’andrea - Japan Marathon
Man... Or Astro-Man? - Inside the Atom
The Huntington Cads - Sha La La
Dick Dale = King of the Surf Guitar
Los Straijackets - Pacifica
