Permalink Sold: The First Gomez Surfer head Rough Blonde/Wheat

New Topic

For sale, Dario Gomez's first and personal Gomez Surfer amp (head only).

Update - this was sold and is now in Belgium.

This is the first one made (out of a total of 40).
The color scheme is Rough Blonde/Wheat.
It is in great condition. It was used occasionally - a few rehearsals, and a few Surf Guitar 101 conventions, surrounding shows, Tiki Oasis shows, etc.
I had 2 other Surfers and this one sounds nicer than the others I have sold (and they were no slouches either). This early one has an output transformer that is made in the USA. The later ones do not say that.

Price is $2,000.
I thought of keeping it, but I want to buy some other gear and I find that I don't play this amp enough to justify keeping it.

Local pickup only (Escondido, CA, North San Diego County).
I currently don't want to deal with packing and shipping an amp. I occasionally go up to OC or LA county so meeting somewhere can be arranged, but best would be to try it here and see if you like it.

Cosmetically, as you can tell from the pic, one of the sides has the usual type of darker spot caused by knots in the pine.

Sale pending (long term deal, this amp may be going abroad in the summer if all works well).

Thanks

Sale went through and the amp made it to Belgium safely. Took a while to wait for the right way to get it there.
