Permalink FS - USA made Fender reissue reverb tank - blackface

New Topic

Hello fellow reverb addicts!

I recently picked up a Texotica tank, and I have a vintage 65 as well. Since I dont need 3 units, I’m selling my made in USA (in 93 or 94) Fender Blackface Reissue Reverb Unit.

Full working condition with a great sound. VERY clean for its age. All original except the jewel (I’ll try to find the original). The only other mod was to put a vintage NOS GE 6K6GT tube in instead of the 6V6GT that came with it. This is a common mod for the reissues.

See pics. Faceplate, grill, and most visible tolex is in amazing condition. Some scuffs on the bottom, but nothing terrible.

I’ve gigged with this tank numerous times and it’s served me well both as a primary tank and as a backup. I’d love for it to stay in the surf family.

This will be available for local pickup in the LA area, and will also be available to pick up at the convention.

$450 pickup, or $500 shipped conus. PM me if you want more pics or a demo vid.

Cheers!

A bit off-topic, but a free bump.

I love my Texotica! Congrats on the purchase. I totally understand why you're selling this one. On another note, I've not had a vintage tank that sounds as good as my Texotica. What's the serial number on yours Texotica?

Fair price on the reissue for being one of the older ones.

Sold pending payment & pickup at the convention Big Grin

This unit is up for grabs again and at the same price I paid for it. Price will be higher elsewhere if no interest here. I just picked up an NAU tank for a song and it serves me well in my basement. I'm sure Josheboy would like to see this stay in the surf community as well. The unit is exactly as Josheboy describes it and it has not been tinkered with. $450 pickup, or $500 shipped conus. edit: 50.00$ of this sale will go to the Danny Amis fund!
