How do you write a surf song?

The first song is called Ziggy’s Upstairs Radio, and the new one is called War Paint Ziggy. After the radiation on his nasal passage, Ziggy grew a SUPER cool white stripe right down his face. Any time I work on melodic guitar parts, my little rescue kitty cat hangs around and snoozes. Unfortunately, my daughter's guitar playing unintentionally repels the cat! Artistic creativity gives us alternate ways of expression. FWIW, the the first notes sound like a "meow". It's a great song and I'm proud of it, but I don't play it much because the memories are still painful. He loved cats - he spent his whole life chasing them. One day he actually caught one (Well, a bit of an exaggeration - he snatched it while it was dozing on a window sill, kind of a stealth attack really), and he looked more shocked than I was, and I was pretty shocked.
