Has anyone ever seen one like this? Recently got it for way cheap. Sounds great. Blonde Tolex with oxblood grille cloth, which seems pretty cool to me. I am curious about it. Circuit board is dated 1993. I am guessing it is an early model. The chrome control plate is quite odd, even the non-standard way that "Fender" is not written in the logotype script, with the word "REVERB" in quotes. Just weird. I can't find any info about this one online, so I am coming here.
Of course, it has not escaped my attention that my reverb unit goes up to "12", instead of "10" like most Fenders out there. Take that Spinal Tap!

I did find this website, via an old post by Brian, which lists the plate and knobs as being indicative of a "Custom" option, whatever the heck that is. That site seems to indicate that it would have been covered in tweed. However, the tweed reissue that I got years ago had a normal control plate.

Might just be my mega-rookie sleuthing, but that link you posted says production on the Reissues started in 1994. You mention the circuit board says 1993. Two plausible answers, of which there could well be others, prototype (date + look) or counterfeit (date + look + price).

My old tweed reissue went to 12, I don't remember how they spelled Fender.

It looks like an early tweed reissue in a new blond box.

Tube chart is dated 1995. I did find another like it online made in 1994 but that one has a tweed cab. Maybe the cab I have is not original to this unit.
All rather inconsequential since it plays fine.

I had a tweed reissue reverb unit with the same metal/fender logo.
