Anybody know about this band please up date here

I am very happy to say that Mark Brodie is still active in our local music scene but his choice of instruments has changed. Among the surf band projects he founded/co-founded was the Hang-Ten Hangmen. Although he left the band approx. 4 yrs ago, the band exists today (full length LP released 2018) with a few personnel changes along the way and I joined the band a couple of months after Mark's departure.
I've gotten to know Mark and studied his playing. I have a deep respect for his compositions, skills, and his energy. When he played guitar, he was a monster player so he has been an inspiration to me.

The wiki is pretty much dead but we started to do something like this before: http://wiki.surfguitar101.com/BandDatabase

We didn't get very far. Not super sure how useful an unorganized thread of random bands will be. There are so many!

Yeah Brian right now I have 788 bands on a list and still finding more than what is on the original list you started here at SG101. I marked on my list of the ones on this thread already - I am keeping track; I thought it would be better to mix up between big and smaller bands as a promotional type thing like radio.

Some bands are hard to find where their home town being they do not list it on all their fan sites? To me that's a big problem for a band if a new fan can't find out where they normally play around. That could be a big promotional problem for some acts.

To my dismay Slacktones Into The Blue Sparkle ablum must be out of print it goes for like 44 bucks or more on Amazon (usually that means its out of print a while). Good stuff on there.

Thanks Shake n Stomp on the update of Mark Brodie - that's the kind of thing needed on here.

One good band promotion is Wikipedia - every band should have one and have a detailed updated account of its members - location and albums listed - many fans search there if they no nothing about a band (at least I do).

More then likely this tread won't help anyone outside this site - but I look at it as a seed to expand later ….But every band should have a Wikipedia page. And every Facebook page they have should have the location the bands from (Promotors and club owners look up stuff like this on there.
