A friend was selling her Wurlitzer 206A and I ended up buying it after bringing it home to do some work on it to prep it for sale. This is the student version of the 200A but it has already been fitted with the stock Tremolo circuitry.

It still needs some work but I'm really excited about incorporating it into some surf music. I love the New Dimensions and how they featured the sound so well into their songs. And Pipeline, of course.

Anyone else here banging on a Wurly? I should clarify that I don't actually "play the piano" yet and can only manage basic accompanying chords and little riffs into the background. Like Johnnie Johnson as imagined by a four year old. But it still sounds really cool.

I've always preferred the sound of the Wurlitzer to the Rhodes. Never owned one, but the keyboardist in one of my bands had one of those beige boxes. I'm relegated to using samples instead of the real thing.
