Permalink Turn your Epi valve junior into a reverb unit

I don't want to start a new thread that's why I dig up this old one.
I see that in my country the valve jr. have a big price drop and if I mod it into a reverb unit, it will cost me 35 euro more then a FRV-1.
120.- VS. 155.-
So I was wondering if somebody did this mod and is it recommendable ?

Just purchased a mint Epi VJ at a local pawn for 50$ minus the speaker cab. I'm going to take a chance on the shitmo before plunking down big bucks for a real reverb tank. Same shop sold me a mint cond. Panama Shaman 20 watt tube head for 200$ When I saw what they go for on Fleabay I think I scored bigtime and thus begins my budget surf rig endeavor.

Tqi,
The Hot Rod you tried may not have been faulty. I have the valve senior and it has the absolute worst reverb I've ever heard. I use a reissue tank with it.

I think epiphone might have had some QC issues with that series of amps. They weren't available for very long.
Mine fried a power tube and some caps after about a month and was repaired under warranty.
