Here's a little insight on the making of "The Lonely Surfer" by Jack Nitzsche from the makers of The Wrecking Crew movie...

The Lonely Surfer

That was cool!

"You can't tell where you're going if you don't know where you've been"

Thanks for passing that along...I love learning about Wrecking Crew history. Such iconic music that was recorded just as a matter of being "all in a day's work". I've read the book and watched the film. Great stuff.

That was great, thanks for sharing!

The Scimitars

Is this about to come out or what?
Would love to see the full thing.

The movie "The Wrecking Crew" has been out for several years now. Here's the website... http://www.wreckingcrewfilm.com I think it's available on Netflix, but if you buy the DVD, you get a bonus disk with LOTS of additional interviews that did not make the final cut. If you like this kind of stuff, I highly recommend it.

The movie contains some interesting insights on bands like The Marketts, The Routers, The T-Bones, Beach Boys, etc.

Check out the trailer on the website and several other out-takes.

Thanks Clint

I did a live phone interview with the director, Denny Tedesco, late last year on my show from KCR radio. It's an hour long and was very fun to do. If any of you would like to hear it, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send it off you to.

Thank you Clint for the info.
I have already bought (a download) and seen the Wrecking Crew movie at the time, but this Jack N. talk seems to be newer material. Am I wrong?

I think it's more outtakes that didn't make the film, but not positive...
