There´s no reason in the world not to talk with you. Enjoy, the new feeling with the buzz stop. Let´s talk in a few weeks about. Anyway, congratulations, you destroyed the nice sexy design of your lovely Jag. —Twang cheers! Ralf Kilauea |

Congrats...that is truly a beautiful guitar. Don't worry about the Buzz Stop; if it works for you, that's all that matters. I have my own Buzz Stop story. When I bought my Squier VM Jag, before even doing my own set-up on it, as a kneejerk reaction I ordered a Buzz Stop. While waiting for the Buzz Stop, I did a basic set-up: truss rod adjust, bridge saddle heights and a set of 11's (came w/ 9's), and all was well and good.....so the Buzz Stop just sits in my spare parts bin. But I will confess to my own "Jag Violation": I wrapped some electrical tape around the bridge posts and rendered it imobile. The trem still works fine was tuning is much more stable. Please don't tell anyone I did this. Last edited: Dec 17, 2017 09:53:21 |

Haha) pretty much the same story, I ordered it before I’ve made the set-up, and when it arrived I was pretty much happy with everything. I decided to put it on nevertheless just to make sure. Thanks) what do you think about 12’s by the way? I use 11’s on a strat so I think 12’s will be perfect for me on a short Jaguar scale. —Waikiki Makaki surf-rock band from Ukraine New Single is out! https://waikikimakaki.bandcamp.com/album/rhino-blues-full-contact-surf-single Waikiki Makaki https://linktr.ee/waikikimakaki Lost Diver https://lostdiver.bandcamp.com |

Yes, 12´s are fine in my opinion. I play mostly D`Addario half rounds meanwhile. I play also the "standard" flatwounds. Chromes by D´Addario. Or, a bit cheaper: Rotosound flats 12-52. Also very good in my opinion!!! at last for me the strings sound all the same, this is not the big point in tone for me. Other people will tell you a different opinion, I know. For playing Surf a Jaguar with flats sounds fantastic. It sound sgood when you play loud with amp. Without amplification the flats sound not as ringing as rounds of course. —Twang cheers!
