There´s no reason in the world not to talk with you. Smile

Enjoy, the new feeling with the buzz stop.

Let´s talk in a few weeks about. Smile

Anyway, congratulations, you destroyed the nice sexy design of your lovely Jag. Smile

Twang cheers!

Congrats! That's a beauty. Never have seen one in that color!

If only my playing skills were somewhat equal to my 50 plus years of experience playing guitar! Sigh

Oh!
Yes, try it with buzz stop.
I tried it and I sold it very soon...
For me the buzz stop destroys the whole surfy feeling of the Jag (or Jazzy).
The strings felt too stiff... Playing felt uncomfortable for me.

And for me it destroys the nice design of a guitar. (similar to a clip tuner on headstock while playing!!!!!!!!!! AaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhH!!!!!! I hate iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttt!!!!)

My tip if you want to change something for better playability and more sustain AND correct radius!: Get a staytrem bridge and you´ll be happy. If not, feel free to say to me: "Ralf you are a totally guitar idiot. I´ll never trust you again. I will buy ALL vinyls and CD´s of your band and destroy them in a youtube video!"

no Mastery! staytrem!

And Fk O buzz stop!
Sell the buzz stop at ebay. People like it.

You were right, Ralph. Don’t like it at all
I am taking it away and putting 12 gauge strings
Guess it will be it!

At last this is interesting. I had exactly the same experience. At first I liked the buzz stopp. After two or three weeks playing I sold it at ebay. Strange.

Alright, with 12 gauge strings and a good setup you´ll be happy with this supernice Jaguar!
Have fun!!!

I respect you for trying before conforming to others' opinions,
and applaud you for making the absolutely objective rightful decision Thumbs Up Nice guitar!
FYI, Pyramid Pure Nickel Flat Wound strings are amazing in every way possible.

Congrats...that is truly a beautiful guitar. Don't worry about the Buzz Stop; if it works for you, that's all that matters. I have my own Buzz Stop story. When I bought my Squier VM Jag, before even doing my own set-up on it, as a kneejerk reaction I ordered a Buzz Stop. While waiting for the Buzz Stop, I did a basic set-up: truss rod adjust, bridge saddle heights and a set of 11's (came w/ 9's), and all was well and good.....so the Buzz Stop just sits in my spare parts bin. But I will confess to my own "Jag Violation": I wrapped some electrical tape around the bridge posts and rendered it imobile. The trem still works fine was tuning is much more stable. Please don't tell anyone I did this.

Haha) pretty much the same story, I ordered it before I’ve made the set-up, and when it arrived I was pretty much happy with everything. I decided to put it on nevertheless just to make sure.
It improves some things but takes away more than it gives, that’s my opinion. Most problems with Jag bridge are solved by heavy strings and some simple recipes as yours with tape or something like that.

Thanks) what do you think about 12’s by the way? I use 11’s on a strat so I think 12’s will be perfect for me on a short Jaguar scale.

Yes, 12´s are fine in my opinion.
Five people tell you five different brands of strings maybe.

I play mostly D`Addario half rounds meanwhile.
https://www.thomann.de/gb/daddario_ehr350_2.htm?glp=1

I play also the "standard" flatwounds. Chromes by D´Addario.

Or, a bit cheaper: Rotosound flats 12-52. Also very good in my opinion!!!
https://schneidermusik.de/shop1/product_info.php/products_id/57261?osCsid=ccc8a0061d2ed5819dac78ec2b1156dd

at last for me the strings sound all the same, this is not the big point in tone for me. Other people will tell you a different opinion, I know.

For playing Surf a Jaguar with flats sounds fantastic. It sound sgood when you play loud with amp. Without amplification the flats sound not as ringing as rounds of course.

Twang cheers!
