Hi!
Anyone have an idea what's going on here?
I plugged into the "Vibrato" side of my Deluxe Reverb Amp, turned on the reverb with the footswitch, turned Reverb up to 10. Got VERY little reverb. Turned off the amp, tilted the amp, felt around in back to see if I could figure anything out with the reverb pan. Was it stuck? I dunno. I put the amp back, turned it back on again and blam. Lots of reverb.
I played for about 10 - 15 minutes and then the reverb died. The reverb tone went from 10 to like 1 over the course of 20 seconds or so even though the knob stayed at 10.
Not knowing nuthin about nuthin, I am thinking "Oh, I have a dying tube."
Any other thoughts I could troubleshoot this? Should I replace all my tubes?
Thanks all!

I'm interested in theories about this as well. I have the same problem with a Princeton Reverb. The reverb is weak. I thought maybe a bad reverb pan so swapped out the stock one for a Mod brand pan but not much, if any change. Mine doesn't come and go though. It just isn't there much to begin with.

You may not be far off, and it would be a quick thing to troubleshoot. In the Deluxe it's probably V3 (12AT7, V2 in the Princeton) that is your reverb driver. There is also half of a 12AX7 taken up with duty of reverb recovery (V4 in the Deluxe, V3 in the Princeton) but one thing at a time. That it goes down over a period of time (20 sec) vs. glitchy in/out makes me think to rule out a tube first. You don't need to "retube" the whole amp, just find a good 12AT7 and try swapping that out.
