Hi All,

I was playing around with my new Focusrite interface and Ableton live. Ended up with a small little song I thought was pretty cool. Thought I would share it. (even if its more Link Wray'ish then surfy)

Yeah, it's cool! I dig it for sure. I'd say you're right that it has more of a Link Wray vibe, which is never a bad thing.

I know you didn't ask for advice but I can't resist suggesting that you give it a better beat! It deserves something that makes it rock more! That stereoscopic percussive sound, to be frank, is more distracting than it is an impetus to dance or toe-tap. How about a kick drum on the ONE and the AND-THREE. As in, "BUM chick bum BUM chick,...." I'd love to hear it remixed with a more traditional drum track. Thanks for sharing.

So your username is beginning to make sense! I just realized your song has a polyrhythmic thing going on. I was playing a bass line to it and wondering why it was sounding a little odd and realized your rhythm track is in 12/8 while the lead is playing like it's in 4/4. Pretty cool! I think you definitely need to keep going on this song.

I finally got a chance to sit down and listen to this. I'm so glad I did! I had a smile on my face the whole time.
I see what you mean about it not really being "surf", but I totally get a retro 60's, Daytona Beach vibe from it.
I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait to hear more.
That's good stuff!
