Grateful Surf is disbanding and presenting our last show 18August2017
Ron White is staying with the AmpFibians , great group with Dave Davies, Tom Coats, and Eli White.
Tam is also leaving.
Leaves Rick Schottmer and me to write and record and look for other players and or guest players.
Anyway..it was a good run

Have a great show! Go out with a bang, and keep on playing surf.

Sorry to hear this Don.
I hope it's an awesome farewell show.
Will you try to assemble a new version of the band?
Cheers,
Jeff

Wow, have a great show! Just put my coffee cup down on a coaster that is the child of that center image above.
Wishing you all the best.

Thanks Wes, Jamie, Jeff, wfoguy , rev Mike Diabo and all that followed this concern. Ron will continue with the AmpFibians as planned. Both Ron and Tamina (bass) are ramping up the grandparent role (life was getting to busy and demanding) and the granddaughter really enjoys dancing to surf music. Ric and I will eventually locate some willing players in either bass or guitar categories or both. We will keep together and write and record with the intention of increasing our set list and a CD or so with "guest artists". I will continue learning and writing, woodsheding and shedding this mild depression.
Here are some shots from our Last Watusi which was very well attended and extremely well received. We turned on a lot of new folks to the idiom and of course we now officially "rokk" , "shrewd", "tear them up", and like tony tiger says : "your great !" - all on the heals of it being the last show in this format for an unforseabke future. So we went out with a bang.
If you were there (in flesh or spirit) thanks for being .
The set.
Ron
Tam , my back was killing me.
Richard

Fair winds & full sails to all.
Hope the wood-shedding brings smiles; make nice sawdust, with reverb.
That grand-parent thing can be an interesting journey. With the first girl it was "things you would've learned in school had you been paying attention." With the last 2 younger ones now it's "things they don't/won't teach you in school anymore."
