Hi all,

Another early Shadows tune.

Hope you like it.

Abdel

Another good job Abdel

Jeff(bigtikidude)

One of my favourites. Very nice!

Lovely!

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

I know nothing about you except for the video's you have posted. I see a dignified gentleman playing his guitar. He's also alone in his room. I noticed you smiled in this one. I took that to mean you nailed a part that you either like or you struggled with. No matter, once again, I saw a teenager enjoying life. Good job! Smile

Glad you liked it folks.

wfoguy (sorry, I don't know your name),

Whenever I smile, it means I missed an otherwise easy run.

Blessings,
Abdel

A very nice job, Abdel! The harmony bits were a real surprise! What is no surprise is that you have a real feel for this song, as you do with all Shadows numbers.

This is probably my favorite song from the Shadows' debut. I've loved it since I was 10, and still as much today as ever. In fact, the very first song I'm likely to play any time I pick up a guitar is "Find Me a Golden Street". It requires a real sensitive touch and perfect timing to make the melody come alive. (Interestingly enough, as you almost certainly already know, it was written by Norman Petty, who produced Buddy Holly as well as the Fireballs.)

Here's the version my dad and I recorded last Christmas. (Not sure my guitar was completely in tune, or at least not entirely in tune with my dad's guitar.)

Thanks!

Ivan

Hi Ivan,

You version is much more valuable with your Dad on rhythm. Priceless !
I wish I had my dad or even my son play with me.
Consider yourself blessed for this.
Excellent performance and please congratulate your dad for a flawless and
delightful support part.

Thanks for sharing,
Abdel

My favorite Shadows song by far. It was always a treat to sit in on drums with the Space Cossacks and perform it.

Abdel - lovely tones and playing as always.
Your videos always make me pick up a guitar!
Ivan I love the videos and performances with your Dad. Wonderful!

Cheers,
Jeff
