No comments at all? That's disappointing. I've been supporting bands for the last 16 years with my radio show. Now that Surfer Rex has reached the point of doing some recordings, we were looking forward to at least a few comments on our first effort. Any comments, good or bad, will be appreciated!

I must have missed this post yesterday Tom.
Congratulations on the new CD. I'll head over to bandcamp after posting this.
It's a wonderful sense of accomplishment to see a body of music through to fruition and release isn't it?

Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks Jeff! You can listen for free at BandCamp. We don't expect anybody to buy a copy. These recordings were mostly done to use for PR.
After you listen, let us know whatcha think.
Thanks again!

Congrats Tom and crew!! I remember trading emails with you years ago and you were telling me about trying to start a band and playing with a friend in "Sea Hunt" (I believe?). So to have come this far with a band and finally put out a release is a MAJOR accomplishment! Salute!

I've really liked what I have heard so far, and I totally get the "Instrumental Action Adventure" tag line! The tracks I have heard so far have a cool playful adventurous nature to them.

The keys were a surprising and nice touch! I didn't know you had that in the band! I'm really digging the playing and melodies!

This is awesome, congratulations!! I will definitely listen to this some more over the next few days. And best of luck on the upcoming shows!

Thanks a lot Brian. The "keys" are actually a B9 pedal that Jerry (Cambeezy) has. We certainly learned a lot while recording this EP. The band is working on a couple more that Jerry and I each wrote. We're looking forward to recording these in the near future and learning more in the process! Thanks again!

Yo Jerry,

Sorry I haven't done a proper review on this- I've listened about 10 times and I just don't what to say-

The tunes are memorable, the melodies are VERY catchy and you guys never miss a note. I like how some songs zig zag around changing direction but never losing their way.

Just while typing this I see I'm on song 5 already (Wipeline) Love the cool staccato guitar-work and then the way the notes just start breezing about then back to funky and..

Now the title tune steps up ominous and dark- very Strange Salvage indeed! There is something happening here- and I like what it is!

These songs go somewhere, more people should take the journey.
