Permalink intermittent reverb tank issue - easy fix

New Topic

I was having a problem where my reverb kept cutting out and only passed a dry signal. I'd shake the unit and it'd work again. I opened it up and did the pencil test (touch all the connections with a pencil looking for bad solder joints) but found nothing, and then checked the cable. There was the culprit, but it wasn't the cable itself. Turned out it was the RCA jack on the output of my pan. It loosened up just enough to not connect with the plug. I took a pliers and squeezed it and that fixed the problem.
