Have been anticipating this & very delighted this morning to find this available. Right up front I'll say that combining this with their previous 2 albums, there needs to be some way to get these guys to Livorno. Hopefully NSSR will pick their stuff up as well.

Fans will not be disappointed; these guys have a signature sound. The songs range through a variety of styles from Duane Eddy twang meets Istanbul (the title track) to B-western ("Blue Seagull") to darker-themed things like "Hours & Minutes" and "Thunderbird." One song ("Horizon") reminds me of an ode to a defining moment in one's life.

There are also songs which are simply lighthearted melodies that could be played at any surf show or even under a gazebo for the townspeople to dance to, whether a boogie or something more Pacific flavored like "Till We Meet Again" or the jazzy-tinged "Summer Evening." Really like this band.

Alex, Vitaly, Alexey, and Sergey - well done & thanks for sharing your music.

Hope you enjoy Jeff; try all 3, lol. Gladdens my heart to see a body of work (by this point) coming out of St. Petersburg (or Nashville, for that matter).

You guys are my current favorite band!

When's your next release?!?!? Laughing

But seriously - why don't you offer the option to BUY your album!?! I've gotten three free Air Cats albums that I would happily have paid for!

Well, it's difficult to answer this question.
I mean, yes, who would reject the money?
But there are some reasons for us to share our records with you guys for free:
First, we are quite new to international surf/instro community so we want people across the world to know us and hear things we do.
We hope this would help us to find some good and interesting opportunities such as festivals, booking agencies and so on.
Put another way - we need listeners, people who will know us, like (or even hate) us, go to the gig where we play and buy the record in future.
Of course, we could try to sell our records now but I doubt that we could compensate our expenses. Okay some people will buy it but what is more important and valuable for us today is everyone could just download our records and listen in their ipods, cars and everywhere they want.
Maybe when we will be releasing our next album we could try to implement the "Pay what you want" option, we'll see how it goes.
Another important part is the situation with selling the records here in Russia - not so many people who are ready to pay for the records and even the big names, popular bands, make most of their financial income from concerts and other activity, not from selling their records.

Thank you again guys for your comments, your opinions really counts! Yes

I definitely think Pay What You Want is better than free. Not only will some people pay album price, but some people will pay a small amount just to get the album to show up on their bandcamp profile and review it. Which helps you get the word out more.

Thank you for the useful adviсe!
We'll definitely think about this opportunity.
And also many thanks for the mentioning of our reliease and review on the SSOR webpage! Smile

Thank you!!! OUT-bloody-STANDING! Glad the band made it out to that Festival and very grateful for the video. Been a fan for quite awhile.
Wonderful stuff to see guys!

Warning! - Real people dancing to the music while really touching.
