GaragePunk Surfcast #1
No episode of Savage Kick this week. Instead, Kopper offers up the first installment of the GaragePunk Surfcast. Hear classics from the likes of The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Crossfires, The Astronauts and others mixed in with modern surf/instro maulers by the likes of the Bitch Boys, Monsters From the Surf, Satan's Pilgrims, The Nebulas, The Windows, The Phantom Surfers and more. Grab your sticks and let's go surfing!

This is really cool Kopper. I am thinking about a SG101 podcast and shows like yours and Chongolio's are a real inspiration. If you have any tips please feel free to share them here or in private.

Let me know when you get to that point. You'll need some sort of way to create the RSS feed. A blog is the easiest way to do it. Then redirect that feed into Feedburner.com so it can handle the media file (MP3). Also, rip your MP3s in MONO, not stereo. They sound twice as good and take up half the space for faster downloads. All of our podcasts are ripped at 80k mono (which is equivalent to 160k stereo, it's just one channel instead of two, hence the smaller file size). Then after that it's just a matter of submitting your podcast to iTunes and promoting it. You shouldn't have too much trouble with that with this community, though.

Yeaaahh! Great stuff!
I was spending my beautiful Sunday sfternoon cooped up inside filing miscellaneous crap in my office. Productivity was low until I turned on the podcast...and what do you know, I'm done! Very inspirational!
Sounds like "Main Street" may have felt pressured into playing a few slow numbers at the end of the show. He has my full encouragement to keep it 100% raucous!
Great stuff!

Hmmm... it appears as though I've got some catching up to do.
First, GaragePunk Surfcast #3 was posted back in October (hosted by Dan Electreau of the Flying Saucer Rock'n'Roll podcast). Sorry I forgot to mention it here...
Secondly, we just posted episode #4 today! (Duke Eastwood's turn.)
Third... the RSS feed so's you can subscribe in iTunes or Zune or whatever: http://feeds.feedburner.com/garagepunksurfcast
Fourth: Bands! Want to submit music for podcasts (ours and tons of others)? Then create an account for your band and upload some MP3s to the Podsafe Music Network.

Hey, we posted GaragePunk Surfcast #8 last week... this one hosted by Paul Sharky Von Gassnurd Vandervort!
Al Jardine had a swingin all-night surfers pajama orgy, and I, Paul Vandervort, was the DJ. It was wild man, beer was flying all over the place. This episode of the GaragePunk Surfcast is the live recording of me DJing at Al Jardines swingin pad!
Hear music by: The Traditional Fools, Thee Cormans, The Teutonics, The Swiss Family Skiers, The Be Neats, Jim Messina and The Jesters, Monsters From Mars, and a special, rare, live one by The Phantom Surfers.

Episode #9 w/Duke Eastwood will be posting very, VERY soon. Stay locked in to that carrier wave:

Gracias!

Since Paul Vandervort appears to be a guy with great taste in music I had a listen and wasn't disappointed. Great to finally hear a surf music podcast that had more vocal songs than instros!

Thee Cormans? Man, you must have some powerful software. The tunes they sent me were too loud. No matter how I fiddled with the levels, it was just mush.
