Permalink NSSR webplayer not functioning, other options to listen.

New Topic

As some of you might have noticed the webplayer on our website is not functioning. This player is hosted by Radiotuna which appears to be offline, their website cannot be reached. We are searching for webplayer alternatives and if Radiotuna stays offline we will switch to a different webplayer soon. Meanwhile you can use one of the links on our website for Windows Media Player, VLC, iTunes etc. at www.northseasurfradio.org/listen

Another option is to go to the website of TuneIn:

There is a big denial of service attack on DNS servers today. Lots of the internet is broken right now. It may affect people in different ways, so one service might be down for one person but fine for another. It all depends on how your device gets its DNS information. If you are a geek, I've heard setting your DNS to point to Google's DNS servers will fix the issue (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

Per radiotuna's facebook page, they are no longer operating due to costs.

It is with sadness and regret that we've had to take the Tuna off air today, possibly permanently. We just can't cover our costs any more and have had to move on to other things to pay the bills. Thanks to all the stations and DJs out there, you guys rock (sometimes literally).

-Darren

At first I thought it was the DNS attacks as well, why didn't I think of going to their Facebook page? DUH. Thanks for sharing this with us Darren. We will now defitely look for a good alternative. Meanwhile please use one of the methods to listen.
