Crazy Aces' "Garageland" on the way to the tournament, on the way home, & in background probably later as I mentally try to learn & steal licks from Jeff. Oh, yeah; nabbed big smallie today wearing my Crazy Aces lucky shirt.*

Surfer Joe & Band live at KFJC - California 2016 !!! I just love Lorenzo's style of playing. When I saw him earlier this year, I couldn't see him up close, but I heard his INCREDIBLY beautiful tremolo picking. In watching this video, I see that Lorenzo picks an awful lot of downstrokes unless he's tremolo picking or just going too fast and then he alternate picks as one might expect. Does this aspect of Lorenzo's picking specifically contribute to the quality of his tremolo? I thought it might since downstroke picking nearly everything means he's essentially always moving his hand at tremolo speed when he's playing at high velocity. Maybe Surfer Joe would comment? —Jonathan the Reverbivore The Reverbivores Please check out our latest album The Reverbivores Watch TV! www.thereverbivores.com Last edited: Dec 09, 2016 23:14:47 |
