It really sounds amazing! Just like I hope it would, somewhere between my Guild and Gretsch and with the middle pickup it has the typical Tele twang!
Oh, that's just great Arny!... Now you got me wanting a Tele!

Here is mine.A cheap but very good tele copy. It's a Jack and Danny and i got it for 115 euros plus a bigsby style vibrato for 25 euros... I use it for surf..It is not a Jaguar but it has another kind of surf tone and sound that I like a lot. —https://www.youtube.com/user/jamess1400 Last edited: Aug 03, 2016 08:31:51 |

Coming to a stage near...me...soon. After some minor surgery...which won't include a wiggle stick right away. |

Just in case you might want to keep it all-Fender, here's how I installed a Fender Jazzmaster 'wiggle-stick' on my Tele: Last edited: Aug 09, 2016 15:01:06 |

My telemaster was set up like that, but that hunk of green junk isn't a true born to begin with. If anything, it'll get a bigsby of some sort down the line. |

So... just my opinion, but I've always thought that teles are about the most versatile electric guitars out there. They definitely can surf! I've always felt that rigs work holistically. Guitar - amp - pedals or outboard gear (if any.) And most importantly... the player! As guitar players who are committed to a pretty focused style of music, I think we can all fall into the trap of listening with our eyes! All that really matters is whether the player is able to say what they wants to say through his or her instrument. I use about the most non-trad set up ever & am always jazzed by the tone! One last thought... Dick Dale doesn't use a whammy! Here is my favorite "play it everyday- every gig" guitar. Not a tele, but definitely tele-esque. www.instagram.com/_the.outer.limits_ |

There are some awesome guitars on this thread. I just added a Tele to my collection. It has a 7.25 radius on the neck and I installed the Bigsby. At first, I didn't like how it sounded compared to my other guitars but after playing it for a while I have to say I am a convert. Now, all I need to do is keep that appointment down at the crossroads and cut a deal so I can master these babies! |

That's to say, I wouldn't go out of my way to source a relic. I happen to own two, because sometimes that's just what happens. I'm not gonna pass up a deal on a fine instrument just because somebody beat it up. I've yet to own a blackguard. It's on my list of things I think I'd enjoy, but that thinline is just sick. I look forward to growing old with it. |
