Permalink Dom Casual and El Mirage @ The Kraken - Chapel Hill NC (Fri 3/4/16)

New Topic

Dom Casual and El Mirage join forces to battle the Kraken in a no-holds-barred melee of surf, instro, not-so-instro, and tentacles. Located a scant 5 nautical miles west of Chapel Hill, The Kraken is a formidable foe that can only be tamed with a hull full of reverb and alcohol. Fortunately, there will be copious amounts of both onboard, so chart a course and turn your otherwise dull Friday night into a three hour tour. A three hour tour.

Doors at 8, music at 9. No cover!

Just a little ba-dump-BUMP for tonight's double-bill at The Kraken. We have worked up four special songs that will feature Andy Shull of Dom Casual on trumpet. Stoked!

Hope you have a wonderful show! That is a GREAT twofer!

Thanks, Jamie!

I'm a longtime DC fan but it's been years since they have performed regularly. Andy came out to Mike's (aka morphball's) surf shack on Sunday and literally blew us away with his playing. He's going to sit in on an original (Anvil Sky) and three covers (Malaguena, Pintor, and Misirlou).

Are the Mystery Men? up for an NC road trip this year? Wink

We're open to anything! We're actually WAAAYY overdue for a visit to Charlotte (that's fairly close, anyway). Aqualads, Monterreys and tMM? enjoy trading shows, but it's been pretty one-sided lately. We need to get up there.

I continue to be vocal about getting El Mirage down to Atlanta. Maybe for one of the Southern Surf Stomps? I'll continue until it happens!
