Permalink Cyclonic conditions, Ship beached..

Man, it's winter here, and a major storm is wreaking havoc here in Newcastle, we just had a huge ship run aground on my local beach, right through my sacred surfing reefs, floods everywhere, power lines and trees down, you name it, kaos!! There are about 60 ships off the coast here, and the big seas are causing them to drag anchor....

great photos. i've been through newcastle so i recognize the area. these look like shots we get here sometimes as we are known as the graveyard of the atlantic. we had a liberty ship wash up here about 25 years ago. it was so big you could see it from miles down the beach.
