I've gotten most of mine online, ebay, some amazon sellers. Our other guitar player goes to Japan twice a year so you can bet I'll have him on the look out. —http://www.facebook.com/CrazyAcesMusic |

I stumbled on Terry's "Seicho Terauchi Bushi" album on youtube a while back (I think that's the name of the album...) Totally phenomenal stuff. The first six or so tracks are just stellar. The whole album is really! There's another song of his I found on youtube (on the first page of search results when you search 'Takeshi Terauchi'. Runs about five minutes long. Description: SIDE TWO TRACK 6 TSUGARU ELEKI BUSHI(TAKESHI TERAUCHI & BLUEJEANS) That one! One of the greatest things I've ever heard. Almost goes into this cool extended psychedelic jam halfway in! |

Not sure if this came up already, but I stumbled across a link to this book. Here's a link to the chapter on Eleki. A bit hard to read as there's very long monolithic paragraphs, but interesting. —Danny Snyder Latest project - Now That's What I Call SURF I'm back playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta |

As referenced in the excerpt, here's Yuzo and Terry clowning around and playing together for a bit... —Danny Snyder Latest project - Now That's What I Call SURF I'm back playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta |

I'm a big fan of The Spacemen since I heard "Cherry Viewing a Go! Go!" album 2 years ago, one of the best album I've ever heard. — |

Yeah the record dealer I bought it from told me he had a Spacemen record and I was thinking "Please be Cherry Viewing...". This was what he had but it's still great. — |

Here's a great one from Terry called "Ski-A-Go-Go!" from a 1966 Japanese ski party movie. I have the 45 but had never seen the movie footage before. Followed by one of Yuzo Kayama's best vocal songs, where he was backed by Terry's Blue Jeans also on the record. — |

Isn't it funny that the thread with the most views in the Best-Of SG101 sub forum isn't even about surf music? — |

A great example of the transition between Eleki and Group Sounds with The Rangers doing "Let's Go Rangers" (and no, it doesn't have anything to do with New York ice hockey). — |

There are lots of disgusting 1980's and onwards terrible Terry clips on YouTube. This 1975 clip is not one of them though. Starting with his GREAT and simple long-time show opener "Terry's Theme" originally on his first Bunnys album from 1966. Then followed by a classical tune from his GREAT Let's Go Classics album... — |

The longer, less simple, and totally great 1966 studio version of "Terry's Theme" for all of you who have never heard of it... — |
