So don't get old, Jeff! We need you to stay young!

Here in Tha Midwest there is no recognizable scene, so maybe it could start fresh with young enthusiasts. Problem is that even though things like youtube allow people to find any kind of music they want, young musicians seem to lack passion for instrumental music deeply rooted in a tradition of playing that predates the explosion of 'artiste' rock music which ended the era of the Wrecking Crew.

I think the sophistication of New Wave/Punk attitudes about music (which included despising the notion of rock musician as artiste and auteur, which readmits the traditional repertoire) is lost on the current generation.

Great Photos Arny, please post more if you have more, and the time.

Norm, 2 reasons, younger people here don't like surf.
And some of the older ones barely go to shows anymore.
Couch potato syndrome, I'm more and more guilty of it myself
As I get older.

Squink Out!

Here are a couple more...

A last one...

A tribute to the man that made it all possible and one of the best surf drummers out there: NIELS!

Plus the only one that can pick his nose and drum at the same time!
