More teenage fury from The Velvetones with "Doheny Run". This is on the Surf-Age Nuggets box but I first heard it on the great "Sleazy Surf" Vol 2 comp from way back when. —BOSS FINK "R.P.M." available now from DOUBLE CROWN RECORDS! |

Another one I heard first on "Sleazy Surf Vol. 2". Pretty awesome guitar work on this Norman Petty produced single "El Gato" by The Chandelles —BOSS FINK "R.P.M." available now from DOUBLE CROWN RECORDS! |

This is The Crescents featuring Chiyo, the lady with the great looking white Jag. There is an interesting post about her in the comment section. She's one of the rare women players of that era. I'm assuming the guy on the lower right is Thom Bresh. He is the son of Merle Travis, and became a great guitarist in his own right. |

THE MOPTOPS doing MOPTOP. Sounds nothing like British Invasion stuff as the name suggests, but still quite cool. First heard in on the great SLEAZY SURF VOL 1 comp way back when. Been spinning it lately. —BOSS FINK "R.P.M." available now from DOUBLE CROWN RECORDS! |

"Moon Relay" by the Vistas. It's a repeater for me. Can't just listen to it once. Gotta go twice, three times in a row! It's on the AMAZING "Diggin Out" vinyl comp and also the recent fab "Surf Nuggets" box set: — |

The Rondels who gave us the supercool "Satan's Theme" rip it up here on CALDONIA. The intro on this reminds me of EVERYBODY UP by The Fender IV. —BOSS FINK "R.P.M." available now from DOUBLE CROWN RECORDS! |
