I'm hearing Mojave from the Insect Surfer's Reverb Sun for the third time this morning... I think it's a winner. Worship

I'm not saying anything Big Grin
Only two people know the outcome. JP and me.
The rest will have to hear it all out to find out.

I think the list turned out killer.
This will be a bible for newbies.
Wanna get into surf music?
Listen to these 101 albums and then we can talk.

I'm sure there will be something new in this list for everybody.
Sure as hell opened my ears to some amazing albums I never heard before.
So excited that we will finally be doing this six months later than planned.

I hope this list will spark some interesting new discussions.
Please keep those comments coming. I want this thread to explode tomorrow.

Cheers,

I imagine that there should be a lot of cds/lps being purchased after the 101 is played/posted.
and that is a good thing.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Any chance we can get the lists of the DJs that have played today? I've tuned in for part of it but have missed quite a bit, too.

Ivan
Lords of Atlantis on Facebook
The Madeira Official Website
The Madeira on Facebook
The Blair-Pongracic Band on Facebook
The Space Cossacks on Facebook
The Madeira Channel on YouTube

not a complaint, but an observation I made while listening to the DJs top 10 lists shows. These shows were recorded in April.
There has been so many great releases that have come out in that 6 months.
I wonder if any of those recent releases would have been good enough to make it into the djs lists, or the sg101ers vote list?

Nope, one rule is no 2014 albums allowed. I would have sticked to that rule if we would have voted now. I think albums need to be crucial to you after that period of initial awe. The have to age and mature and then still be a favourite.

So West Coast, have ya'll set that alarm to 3AM? Better start catching some sleep soon Wink

Going to sleep at 9 or 10 pm.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Any chance we can get a list posted as this progresses? Every 10 albums or whatever? I assume a full list will be posted upon completion? Looking forward to listening when I can, but I'll be at the HB Pier show tomorrow, so will miss much of the show.

i will be at pier too,
listen as soon as you get up,
and then listen again when you get home after the pier show.
you should catch most of it that way.

going to bed soon to be up at 3 am pacific time.
oooooof!
its hard to be a hard core fan.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Let's Go - 12 Hours

ooooooof! 5 hours wasn't enough sleep.
but let the good tunes roll.

So although I don't like downloading apps that want access to all of my phone and my inside leg measurement I got VLC so I could listen on my Android phone - and it was so worth it! Great show - thanks to all of you who put the effort into making it happen! —
