Hey guys, just wanted to give a hello from all of us at Seymour Duncan. Seymour was a fan of surf music and I told him I'd stop on by and see if the current options we have are covering all the bases for you.
If you have any questions on pickups I'd be happy to help out. The main ones we make that really capture Surf tone is the Antiquity II Surfer, the SSL-1 California '50s set and the '60s Surfer pickup from the Custom Shop which I believe is an exact replica of a '64 Strat pickup that was heard on some famous records.
Anyways, if you need anything or have any suggestions, we'll be around.

Welcome, Scott! I use Seymour Duncan pickups on two of my Strats: Antiquity II Surfers and Alnico II Pros. Love both sets, and have had them for a long time now. I'm a big fan! Good to hear that Seymour is a surf music fan, too!
(I'll have to look into those '60s Surfer pickups, I haven't heard of them before.)

Welcome to SG101. I have your lipstick tubes in my Strat Plus. They have served me well for many years.

Welcome, I'm glad you are here. I have several SD PUs in several guitars. Antiquity JM, a 1/4 P bass, and a real cool SD humbucker in my favorite lap steel. All well made and perform as advertised.

Welcome to sg101, Scott! Very glad you're here. I have a set of Duncan Vintage Jazzmasters in my mid-90s CIJ. I love their creamy, balanced sound with just enough bite for surf. Very early JM sound, for sure.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! The Antiquity II Jaguar pickups are my personal favorite - I've never personally owned a Jazzmaster but Seymour also built the Antiquity II Jazzmaster pickups to capture that beautiful '60s sound and I'd imagine they would sound great.
Hey Revhank, I have a set of those too, love that sparkly Strat sound. I'll be sticking around if you guys need anything or have any ideas for pickups/pedals let me know!

I am fascinated by printed programmable magnets and wondered if there is a future for it in the guitar pickup industry. I'm not sure how though, perhaps noise cancelling or magnetic effect on the string.

I'm running a few SD's a couple of guitars, antiquities (Strat neck and Broadcaster) in a tele and hot jazzmaster in my Warmoth Jazzer. 10 years or so in these guitars and I love 'em. Get lot's of tone compliments too. Wanna trade the hot jazzmasters for a set of Antiquity II Jazzmasters?
Thanks for hangin' 10 here in surfdom.

Heya Scott. What about Mosrite style pickups? Maybe not the best selling parts, but you'd make some people happy IMO. Cheers!
