New Topic

Hi All,

Friday off, rain (in So. Calif ?), wife gone shopping, ideal time to make noise:
BUES ROCK Abel
I hope you like this video despite the sound quality.
Please disregard the mistakes.
I think the MP3 version sounded much better.

Abdel,

Thanks so much for posting that!

You have such a fun approach to Blues Rock that's very refreshing. I particulary enjoyed how you incorporated a "surf-like" use of the wiggle stick. I would have never thought to use the vibrato like that in a swinging blues tune.

You also seem to be playing slightly ahead of the beat. _You're not rushing. _ Rather you seem to be playing on the leading edge of the beat. It adds an edgy feel that pushes the tune forward. It gave my ears a very fresh perspective.

Thanks again for sharing!

Chuck

Glad you liked it Chuck,

I guess it's the mixed influence: Shadows / Surf / Jazz / Big Bands,
distorted.

Regards to all,
Abdel
