When I download a backing track or song from the site, I get no audio. I have regular old Windows XP with sound card. I do get a player open on the screen and it moves but no sound. Can someone help?

Thanks!!

Hi. I moved this topic to the SG101 Website forum.

Can your computer play any sound files at all? Is the volume turned down in your XP control panel?

Yes - everything else works fine - MIDIS, MP3s, BIAB . Just can't get anything from this site to play.

Are you trying to play the files in your browser or are you downloading them first and then playing them? If it is the former, then you may have a misbehaving browser plugin or configuration. You could try another browser.

I figured it out. I had to install an M4a player then download by right clicking and 'saving link as....'. Works great for me now. I'll probably find a conversion to MP3 to make these files consistent with the rest of stuff.
Thanks!!

VLC is an excellent free media player that works on several operating systems. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
