I was expecting that the pickups would be either to hot or rather dull sounding like on my (ex) CP jazzmaster. It doesn't they sound very good like Jag pups schould sound. I like my CP 60's strat a lot and I have it for almost 2 years. The nut needs to be replaced (Gstring doesn't tune properly) and the trem needs to be replaced with a avri model. The pickups are wonderfull, they are custom shop '69 real bell and chime vintage sounding.

Would you say the Jaguar pickups are just as good as the Strat in terms of overall quality?

Yes I would, not dull or cheap sounding to my ears.

How do you find the vibrato action?

I have always played a stratocaster, and most of the time I got the trem blocked until a few months ago. I know that the position of the trem on the CP is different than the original design. I am still getting used to it. It doesn't go out of tune as fast as I thought it would be, so I guess that's a good thing.
