Permalink Podcast cover art in iTunes

New Topic

iTunes has recently changed their cover artwork requirements for podcasts:

New Cover Art Requirement
iTunes has been completely redesigned and there are new requirements for podcast cover art. To be eligible for featuring on iTunes Store, a podcast must have 1400 x 1400 pixel cover art in JPG or PNG format using RGB color space.

If anyone from the community would like create a graphic for this, that would rule.

Do you mean in general, for some random podcast, or are you asking how to submit art for the SG101 podcast?

I'm sorry...
I have a Podcast called RadioFree Olga, and am having problems figuring how to submit artwork for it...

I'm building it in Garageband, so is that the point at which the artwork gets submitted...?

Sorry to derail your thread here!

Thanks!

I signed up for podbean, which is not necessary but makes it a bit simpler ("upload your artwork here")

iTunes gets the artwork from data in your RSS feed. If you are building the RSS feed yourself, like what I am doing for SG101, then I simply put the file on the server somewhere, then I include a link to the artwork in the RSS feed metadata. All the gory details are here.

If you use a 3rd party service to host your podcast they probably do that for you by letting you upload an image and they take care of the details.
