Hi guys I hope I'm not stepping on any toes or digging up past suggestions. I looked and didn't find anything. I'm a life long surf music fan, but have just recently devoted my time to actually learning how to play it. One thing that I think would be great is a amp/guitar review section via audio/video. I don't remember the poster, but there's an excellent Eastwood Sidejack review from an actual surf guitarist on the forum. Stuff like that really comes in handy for newbies like me who don't have local dealers who stock this stuff. Nothing pisses me off more than looking for reviews and samples on YouTube. I'm looking for a good surf amp (yeah I have Fender dealers in Salt Lake City) but I'm curious about other makes. I've looked up quite a few on YouTube, but more often than not, it's filled with blues players using humbucking guitars, a dirty channel and very little if any reverb. I'd like to see reviews using clean sounds with surf guitars! Again, I apologize if I'm bringing up something that has already been brought up.

Either you surf, or you fight.

Mike, there are actually tons and tons of surf-centric video demos all throughout the "Gear" forum. This is where the search function really becomes one's useful friend. For instance, I found what I believe to be the Eastwood Sidejack demo you were referring to almost instantly. Just type in the model or brand you're interested in, and I'm sure it will lead to many examples. Cheers!

Thanks Jon! I've been doing searches and have found a few. I'm looking for some good amplifier demos.

Either you surf, or you fight.

Are you asking for more A/V demos? Or are you asking for an A/V gear forum or something?

We do have a gear samples section in our downloads:

... and make sure not to limit your searches just to Topics. Include Forum Posts in your searches. Morphball's amazingly great video demo about his Quilter MicroPro-200 amp is just another post in a topic about the amp and doesn't appear in the results if you just search for "Quilter Amp Demo" in Topics. But it turns up in the results if you perform the same search on Forum Posts. Try it and you'll see the difference.

Many other video demos are also just posts in existing topics and don't have dedicated topics of their own with "demo" in their title.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.
