In order to get as many letters to Eddie as possible you may email Eddie directly at eddieandtheshowmen@yahoo.com. I will print the emails and hand carry them to Eddie daily.
Brian, maybe list this under current stories?

i only had the chance to talk to eddie in summer 2008 at tim's house. i had the impression to talk to a very self confident man, who has done certainly much and knew how to discuss about music. i remember talking to him about surf, music, touring, money, stage, old times.
it makes me sad to know he is not good. he is one of the figures that inspire all of us, fans of this music. and it is important that tim brings him our message. when he will go, he has to know that he has been someone important for many people and he left his traces.

Dick Dodd and I just returned from visiting Eddie. Eddie was heavily medicated and unresponsive. Will check in on him again tomorrow.

Thank you,

I'll be visiting Eddie again this morning. Thanks to all those who have sent their wishes to Eddie. I'm not ashamed to say I became a bit misty eyed over some of the beautiful messages that have been sent to Eddie. Any message sent by 10 AM PDT today will be in Eddie's hands today.

I'd almost forgot about this video. Eddie and Jim Masoner in an epic jam July 2007.

Thanks for the updates Tim. One of my personal highlights musically was having Eddie join The Secret Samurai to play lead on Dark Eyes at the 1st SG101 convention. I feel very fortunate to have been able to meet Eddie and talk with him on several occasions. He is a massive influence on so many in surf guitardom. Our thoughts are with you Eddie!

Joe Kurkowski and I just returned for visiting Eddie. His time with us is very very short. They are doing their best to keep him comfortable.

Eddie,

Good thoughts your way!

Eddie

Karma and good wishes from Australia

My sympathies to everyone who personally knows him. Loosing a friend is always painful. I wish I had something wonderful to say now but I don't. I watched this too many times. To Eddie that I haven't met, I love your music and best wishes.

To Eddie, sending positive thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Godspeed to you. Even though alot of us have never met you personally, we feel like you're a close friend to all of us here at sg101. You are somebody that has made our lives better musically and spiritually. You have made some of the greatest surf music and we thank you for this. Your music will never be forgotten, and will be passed down to future generations. Warmest regards, Howard L

The warmest Aloha from all his fans in the Hawaiian Islands.......

Sad news. I am sure Eddie appreciates your visits, even when he can no longer express that to you. Hang in there. I know this must be tough for you.
