ok i'll start off:
image

Mosrite Excellent '65 (custom electronics)
AC-30 (homebrew) Celestion Blue and Eminence Red Fang speakers

right now for effects i'm using a holy grail reverb, Voodoo labs Trem, Rangemaster clone, Russian Muff(the good one), Arion Phaser, ts-9 and a Vox Wah

we allready had a show your rig thread once, but it's a good idea to do it again. also: just the main (stage if applicable) rig, not "everything you own" ( Wink )

I'll put up a pic later.

The Showman doesn't get played live anymore as I opt for the Vibroverb. And the Vibroverb may have seen the last of its days being played live as the Bassman, which I don't have a picture for yet, is going to be my live amp.

WoodyJ, Love the look of your Jazzmaster.
Is that Fiesta Red
I alway wondered what Fiesta would look like with a gold pick guard.

Ivan, I never get tired of seeing your rig! Thats got to be one of the nicest looking Showman/Strat combos ever.
Thumbs Up

The Thunderchiefs

Dang Jake, you have nice stuff too!

The Thunderchiefs

Yeah Ivan's is great. The colors are pretty close in that picture and it really looks pretty good like that.

Thanks for the kind words...yep, it's a Fiesta Red AVRI from the 1999 initial run. I've had three different pickguards on it, and the gold anodized aluminum one actually improved the sound of the guitar, I guess because it grounds/shields better than the thin metal sheet under the stock plastic guard.

I stupidly sold a "real" '58 Jazzmaster a few years back, and I always liked the gold guard look as well, even though the purists will tell you it's not prototypically correct for surf. Then again, I like maple neck Strats better than rosewood too, so, what the heck. Wink

It's '63 Bassman which I run into an openback 2x12 Fender cabinet loaded with EVM 12Ls and a 63 Tremolux which runs into a closed back 1965 Fender cabinet loaded with a pair of 1962 Jensen C12Qs. The Reverb's a 1976 4 tube RI.The 71 Deluxe was a new acquisition this week and I used the amps for a background. It's not part of the setup right now.

image

My main Strat is this 1987 '62 RI made in Corona when there was about 10 people working at Fender after the mid 80's buyout. The maple neck is original but not period correct for a '62. It is a majorly sweet axe. I love the fact that it has a 3 way switch. I have no use for positions 2 and 4.

My Jazzmaster is a 1962 Candy Apple Red which for some reason has a 1965 neck.

There is Surf east of Sepulveda.

I really dig your '71 Deluxe. I'm a fan of minibuckers.

Also, I have C12Qs in my Bassman cab. I debated on the C12Ns but I'm glad I went with the C12Qs, and I'm glad I went Cermaic instead of AlNiCo

Thanks I've been wanting one since I was in a band with a friend who had one around 1978. Those minibuckers are a very cool sound. These have the patent number stickers on the bottoms and sound fantastic.

I've had those C12Qs for a while. I took them out of an old Silvertone twin twelve cabinet and they match up really well with the Tremolux. I have a '73 Pro Reverb loaded up with some C12Ns for when I want that tone. That's another nice amp that has a very usable volume level without getting too painful.
