The Secret Samurai are featured in a recent article in the City Beat Magazine covering surf music in San Diego.

Very cool, congrats Ryan,
I would still love to see a show with all those bands mentioned
and the few other SD area surf bands not mentioned.

Congrats! They could have used a more recent image, I think. Of the Secret Samurai, even.

This is great coverage!
But I take issue with this quote from the author describing surf music (emphasis mine):
With the breezy, reverb-splashed guitar licks and easygoing rhythms of artists like Dick Dale and The Surfaris, ...

Maybe the author has only heard "Let's Go Trippin'" & "Taco Wagon."

Thanks everybody! Whorehay, you will be doing the artwork for our next album. Those are some pretty original fonts!
I completely missed Danny's earlier thread on this. I assumed this wouldn't have been posted by anybody other than me

Nice to see some of our sg101 bands getting some press. Really cool article!
Ryan: nice Secret Chiefs 3 reference! You can definitely hear the eastern influence in Zanshin (its one of the things I love about the album and really sets it apart).
