The opening has been a blast! We had Ralf Kilauea with LOS APOLLOS from Berlin, absolutely excellent and fun surf band, really really cool! That was a great choice for the way the guys interact with people. And everybody appreciated this! People: a lot! We closed the kitchen at 1am because literally we could not sell anything more! We have finished between 12pm and 1am all fried food, all potatoes, 84kg of burgers!!!!!!! I have been very interested in how close people has been to the stage and followed the concert from the beginning to the end. The much liked how particular the place is, with the posters of the surf concerts on the walls, a few modern pixels in an almost completely vintage atmosphere. Ralf was worried about the amount of surf music he has been listening the whole day. Today has been approximately the same. So, we keep our fingers crossed that the situation will remain at a good level. From this wednesday, every wednesday, we are going to have Marco Di Maggio (Italy) showcasing the rockabilly, swing and country guitar styles (www.marcodimaggio.com), on thursday we will do garage, beat, rock 'n' roll and rockabilly bands and saturday is teh big REVERB night of course. Next saturday the WET-TONES on stage. On the site www.surferjoe.it/diner you can see a few photos in the gallery section. Ciao, Lorenzo "Surfer Joe" Valdambrini Last edited: Mar 04, 2012 18:09:00 |
