Wow, fantastic list of bands, maybe the best lineup yet!
BTW: This is the first year I'm not playing the convention I'm looking forward to being just another spectator.
Kudos Jeff!

"weekends", but they are on Wednesdays/Thursdays each
week. I run the office on Saturdays/Sundays, which is
why I can't leave those days. There's pluses to it -
the family and I can go camping or hiking in the middle
of the week and not have to deal with crowds of people.
I actually like my schedule, other than not being able
to get to the SG101 fest and a few other things here
and there.
Got it. I withdraw my statement. Sounds like a fun gig.

Mike here from 9th Wave checking in.
First, thank you Jeff (BTD), Tiki Tina, Jon Paul, Brian and all those who are involved in the setup of this year’s 5th SG 101 music extravaganza.
We are extremely honored and excited to play and take part this year. The last 2 years Sandy and myself have been able to partake as fans, playing in the members jam, lend a hand with some logistical and technical support during the convention. As I was working the door during the 3rd & 4th years, I was able to meet and greet many fans, legends and some band members. This year, we (9th wave) will have the privilege of performing Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Based in Connecticut and representing one of the many North-East Coast Surf / instrumental combos, as well as the founding member of the North East Surf Music Alliance, we plan to play our best, giving everyone attending a taste of 9th Wave’s mostly original sets. 9th Wave joined the Cowabunga Surf Ring back in 1997, which migrated to SG 101, and with years of playing and performing experience, you will not be disappointed. We’re looking forward to meeting old and new friends, lending a hand in logistical support as we all make this a truly special, unique, memorable and international event.
If you have not attended the SG 101 convention / musical extravaganza, I highly recommend it, for the entertainment, diversity, fellowship and the many enjoyable hours of live surf / /instrumental music.

DP,
in case you you don't remember, Danny and Jonpaul and Ran(kick the reverb)
usually play a song or 2 in medley form every year.

For those looking to come out to Ca. way early.
Los Venturas and El Ray, will be starting in Nor. Cal. the weekend before.
Working on booking shows now.
So Far, they are confirmed for Forbidden Island on Sun. afternoon.
2 other bands TBA.
and possibly a Radio show performance.
But I hope that this will be a primer to wet yer appetite for what is to come at the SG101 convention, and some will come down for the event.
more info here:
August 5 - The Third Annual International Surfin' Smorgasboard at Forbidden Island in Alameda with El Rey (Denmark), Los Venturas (Belgium) and Frankie & The Pool Boys + awesome eats and tiki drinks!

Jeff,
Wonderful line-up! Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.
I will probably sign up for a members jam tune on bass.
I haven't figured out if I can afford to stay for TikiO as well, but I will be at shows Thurs-Mon during SG101 Convention weekend.

I prefer medleys that only have one song.
