...a few years back, the JH School that I teach at went on a field trip to the Fender Corona facility. We had a great "behind the scenes" tour...but, for me, the highlight was shaking hands with Mr Wronski at the end of the tour. Dave W was doing the final adjust and inspect on the Jaguars and Stratocasters before shipping them out...he signed a Fender Inspection/Hang Tag for me as a momento...of course, I was totally stoked! -dp |

That was cool to see. I worked at Mesa/Boogie when I was in high school. The woodshop was gnarly with all the saw dust and sprays. The assembly/electronics side was more desirable. — |

diceo: When we visited Fender Corona, I wasn't a JH STUDENT...I'm a JH Science teacher! Our school visited back in 2002, on that trip, I was one of the chaperones. |

Did anyone else notice that the Fender guy said the type of wood had way more affect on the sound than the pickups? I'd sure like to go down there and hear that for myself. —Danny Snyder Latest project - Now That's What I Call SURF I'm back playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta |
