Our bass player just sent me this link, great video of the Bobby Fuller Four on some 60's TV show. Check out the Go Go dancers with Six-guns! Lip-sync but he's holding a strat.

Casey.. showing my age.. the show was called "Hollywood au Go Go" hosted by some DJ type named Sam Riddle. I went thru puberty looking at those chicks dancing.. Sheesh! It's a pity about Bobby Fuller... that band went for 9-10 months before Bobby was murdered (I don't buy the suicide by gasoline injestion or the 'story' of the L.A. police). That guy had some real talent. If you haven't tackled it yet, learn to play "My Favorite Martian" for kicks -should take about 10-15 minutes to learn - very early Bobby Fuller - and preserved by Los Straitjackets on their latest CD. I have fond memories of those days KHJ radio had the "boss jocks", Sam Ridle, The Real Don Steele, Charlie Tuna & more. Bobby Fullers death does not pass the smell test. I'd love to get a look at that file. It's still sealed. |

Kind of off the original topic, but since radio DJ`s were mentioned. Did anyone listen to Les Perry and the surf patrol? Any idea what happened to him? |
