Anyone in Frederick MD interested in starting a surf band? I have practice space with drums amps etc. I am in another band now but looking for side project. What's up with MD? No one seems to play anything other than the usual stuff - blues country etc. Looking to do surf and related tunes i.e. Link Wray etc and maybe some rock a billy. I play guitar but can alternate bass with another guitar player if need be.

That's great to know....now we'll see if anyone answers the ad! I am actually an old guy (pretty sure a lot older than you) I know how the music scene was back in the Roy Buchanan, Link Wray, Danny Gatton, Robert Gordon days, it is nothing like that now sad to say ;(. Your band looks and sounds good, hope to see you live!

Nice tunes and website AtomicMosquitoes.
Blue Sky - Did you ever get anything together? I'm a little far away in Pittsburgh but I'll keep an eye on the sites.

Hi guys, I'm another Frederick, Marylander into surf music - pm me if you ever want to get together and jam. I'm open to joining a band for weekend gigging or just for fun - it's all good!
I had the good fortune to meet Staredge today at my luthier's shop.

Glad you made it!! I met up with Blue Sky back then. Talked about doing something, but then never heard back from him.

Cheers, Will! So awesome to meet ya today! I wonder if Blue Sky is the same older gentleman I met at the Rockville GC a while back - we talked surf music and exchanged emails but I misplaced his info. Older being relative, of course! I turned 48 last November.
Btw, I posted some of my vids on here in the Surf Videos section - flubs and all, heh. I need to do some new stuff soon.
Craig - checked out your band's website - killer stuff! Great drumming, too! Went on iTunes and bought the three Atomic Mosquitoes albums and the Brave New Surf compilation. Awesome stuff!
